Question

Graph the piecewise-defined function. f(x) = {-4 for x <= 0, 4 for 0 < x <= 1, 4 for x > 1}

I got a ray from open point (0, -4); and a ray from closed point (0, -4)

however, on WebAssign it is coming up incorrect.

Like I said, this problem is through WebAssign, section 8.3, #11 and this is the link:

http://www.webassign.net/v4cgirrachll@mountainstate/student.pl?d=20110305201033rrachll@mountainstate711755162#Q11

if you click the link and scroll down to problem #11, you can see my work, and hopefully be able to tell what i'm doing wrong. thank you very much for the help.

Explanation / Answer

Hi, It should be a ray from open point (0, 4); and a ray from closed point (0, -4). Hope this helps.
