You can tessellate the plane any quadrilateral. So can some one please show me how to obtain the Matrices needed to tessellate the plane with an irregular quadrilateral. Meaning that all of the sides of the quadrilateral are different lengths.An example would be like the quadrilateral formed by the points A(1,1), B(1,4), C(2,5) and D(3,2). Line AB have length 3, Line BC have length SQRT(2), Line CD have length SQRT(10), and Line AD have length SQRT(5).
My teacher thinks there will probably be five matrices.
Please show the steps and explain how you obtained, possibly, the 5 matrices needed to tessellate the plane with an irregular Quadrilateral.
