Question
Ahmed wants to take his phone and his video game player on a trip. An hour before they plan to leave, he realizes that he forgot to charge the batteries last night. At that point, he plugged in both devices so they can charge as long as possible before they leave. Ahmed knows that his phone has 45% of its battery life left and that the battery charges by an additional 11 percentage points every 15 minutes. His video game player is new, so Ahmed doesn't know how fast it is charging but he recorded the battery charge for the first 30 minutes after he plugged it in. How much time would Ahmed need to charge both of the devices fully?Explanation / Answer
For mobile the remaining battery charge left = 100 - 45 = 55%
If the battery is charging 11% in 15 minuute, then the remaining 55% will be charged in 15 * 5 = 75 min
The video game is charging 14% in every 10 minutes.
The video game charge left after 30 minutes = 100 - 72 = 28%
So the remaining 28% Will be charged in 10 * 2 = 20 minute.
So the required total time to charge the two devices fully = 75 + 20 = 95 min = 1 hour 35 min
