Auswer each munbered question below: inate and a point? 2. Give an exainple of an equation inand y you may not use one from class, from the book, or any online/external resource. Make an equation of your own.) 3. Give an example of a point which is on the graph of the equation you presented in question 2. (If it's helpful, you may waut to revise the equation in r aud y you came up with first.) 1. Give an example of a point which is "not on the graph of your equation from question 2 5. Create a new equation in r and y for which the point (7, 100) is a point on the graph of the equation.

Explanation / Answer

1) a point has no dimension that is it has no length or width

and coordinates are numerical location of the point on the graph

2) example of equation on x and y is

y = 2x + 5

3) point on the graph of y = 2x + 5 is (0,5 )

lets check by plugging this point in the equation

5 = 2(0) + 5

since left side = right side so, (0,5) lies on the equation

4) another point that does not lie is (5,6)

lets check this point

6 = 2 (5) + 5

6 = 15

left side is not equal to right side

hence, ( 5,6) does not lie on the equation

5) equation which has (7,100)

100 = 10(7) + b

b = 30

so, equation which has 7,100 is

y = 10x + 30
