The left and right page numbers of an open book are two consecutive integers whose sum is 469. Find these page numbers. The room numbers of two adjacent classrooms are two consecutive even numbers. If their sum is 654, find the classroom numbers.

1) Let age of bride is x and age of groom is y,

Now, Bride is 19 years older than groom, (Which means sum of groom's age and 19 gives age of bride.)

y = x-19 or x = y+19

Sum of both's ages is 185, this implies x+y = 185,

Now, just solve both of the equation,

x-y = 19

x+y = 185,

By summing both equation x-y + x+y = 19 + 185 -----> 2x = 204 - - -> x = 102,

y = x-19 = 102 - 19 = 83.

Age of bride is 102 and age of groom is 83, you can check that sum of both is 185 and 102-19 = 83.

Now, twicw the sum of number and 11 is 22 less than 3x.

This implies, 2x + 11 = 3x - 22,

11+22 = 3x - 2x - - - - > 33 = x,
