Based on the model. what is his expected height, inches, as an adult? Enter your answer in the box. Part B Jack and Kris are 36-month-old boys. Jack is exactly 1 inch taller than Kris. Based on the model, how many inches taller is Jack expected to be than Kris s expected to be when they are adults? Enter your answer in the box. Part C height, in inches, when he An adult male has a height of 73 inches. Based on the model, what was his was 36 months old? Enter your answer in the box.

Explanation / Answer

y = 3.5x - 60

a ) x = 36 inches

y = 3.5 * 36 - 60

= 66

b) let kris age is x1 and jack age is(x1+1)

y = 3.5x - 60

let's say kris age equatn is y1 = 3.5x1 - 60 --------1)

jack age equatn is y2 = 3.5 ( x1 + 1) - 60

y2 = 3.5x1 + 3.5 - 60

= ( 3.5x1 - 60 ) + 3.5

we get from eqution 1 ) is y1 which is kris age

y2 = y1 +3.5

SO, we can say that jack age is 3.5 more than kris age.

3.5 inches taller is jack

c) y = 73

73 = 3.5x - 60

3.5x = 133

x = 38
