A drunkard stands on the middle rung of a 3 rung ladder. From the middle rung she steps up with probability .6 and down with probability .4. From the top rung she steps down with probability .8 and falls with probability .2. From the bottom rung she steps up with probability .5 and down to safety with probability .5.
