Sampling

For the purpose of downsize the census budget and effort; we need to use the different types of survey techniques. For this survey, we would use the stratified random sampling for the selection of the sampling units. For this stratified random sampling we assume the population under consideration is nothing but all the countries in Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. We will select the stratified random sample from the given population and this random sample would best represent the entire population and it would provide the best estimates for forecasting. In the given information it is suggested that there are some countries are more important. Keeping this fact in mind we would use the weighted random stratified sampling by giving the more weightage for the most important countries than the low important countries. We will provide more weight to most important countries in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. We will use the adequate sample size for the sampling. These sampling techniques would lower our budget and effort and also we will get the approximate estimates for findings. For this sampling study, the sampling frame is all the Kirtland’s warbler in all countries in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan and sampling unit is the particular selected Kirtland warbler in single country.
