25.-(2 pointsBerr inMath1 3.2.01s. Express the situation as a system of two equations in two variables. Be sure to state clearly the meaning of your x- and y-variables. Solve the system by row-reducing the corresponding augmented matrix. State your final answer in terms of the original question. For the final days before the election, the campaign manager has a total of $34,500 to spend on TV and radio campaign advertisements. Each TV ad costs $3000 and is seen by 10,000 voters, while each radio ad costs $500 and is heard by 2000 voters. Ignoring repeated exposures to the same voter, how many TV and radio ads will contact 124,000 voters using the allocated funds? TV ads radio ads Show My Work (Optional)

Explanation / Answer

Let

x = Number of Tv ads

y= Number of radio ads

Since total cost is $34500,

3000x +500y= 34500,

Since total voters are 124000,

10000x +2000y =124000

---------

Multiply the 1st row by 4

12000x+2000y=138000
10000x+2000y=124000

Subtract the 2nd row from the 1st row

2000x=14000

x =14000/2000

x=7

Hence

y=(34500 -7*3000)/500 = 27

Answer will be

Number of Tv ads = 7

Number of radio ads = 27
