a) Based on the JMP output, The chi-square statistic value is 20.209
The critical value of Chi-square at (3-1)*(5-1) = 2*4 = 8 degrees of freedom and at 0.01 level of significance is 20.090.
since the statistic value is greater than the critical value i.e., 21.209 > 20.090 reject the null hypothesis and conclude that there is some assocoation between Americans political party identification and their reactions to filling income taxes.
b) the odds ratio of hating filling tax for Republicans and democrats is given by 79: 65
Which indicates that for every 79 republicans who hate filling tax there are 65 democrats who also hate to fill the tax.
