Question
I am working on a statistical problem.
I have an independent variable with three oridnal levels and a dependent variable with an ordinal scale of 1 to 7.
What Statistical analyses do I use from the options below:
correlation, independent samples t test, paired samples t test, a one way ANOVA, RM-ANOVA, factorial ANOVA.
I initially thought that it was RM ANOVA, but since the independent variable are three separate condition levels that have nothing to do with each other I am not sure, nor can I figure out how to get SPSS to run the data/input it correctly.
Explanation / Answer
Factorial ANOVA would be the appropriate Statistica analyses as both the variables are categorial variables at different levels.. Depending on the F statistics and p-value, the analysis can be done.
