a. Both pieces are dotted
b. The first piece is black and the second piece is dotted c. One piece is black and one piece is striped?

Explanation / Answer

2) A) THE PROBABILITY THAT IT WILL RAIN ON SATURDAY = 0.6

THE PROBABILITY THAT IT WILL RAIN OVER SUNDAY = 0.7

THEREFORE THE PROBABILITY THAT IT WILL RAIN OVER WEEKEND = 0.6*0.7 = 0.42

HENCE IT CANNOT BE 130% AS GIVEN

B) IN BASEBALL A SUCCESSFUL HIT MEANS THAT A RUN IS SCORED WHILE HIT FOR HOMERUN IS A SUBSET OF SUCCESSFUL HIT THEREFORE WE HAVE A PROBABILITY OF A SUBSET HIGHER THEN A SET, HENCE THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS WRONG.
