Beer vs. Liquor Drinkers. An independent research firm wanted to determine if the type of alcoholic drink consumed resulted in a difference in blood alcohol concentration (BAC). Based on data from the Department of Justice, the BAC and type of drink consumed (beer or liquor) was obtained at arrest of a random sample of jail inmates who were convicted of DWI or DUI offenses.
