b. The advantage was that usage of aspirin helped the women protect one kind of stroke, something that the drug has not been found conclusively to do for men. It helped write guidlines to prevent heart disease in women.

The disadvantage is that aspirin carries a risk of bleeding, and all 'cardiovascular events' togetherincluding heart attack,strokes and death.
