Explanation / Answer

No result and interpretation are not the same thing. First we interpret a thing and then come to a result. It is just like the steps of scientific method i.e. first we perform experiments (-->interpretation) and then come to some result. Interpreting is finding all the facts we can find from a case like reasons and factors involved. Following examples might help:

1) Case: when a man saw a snake he killed it.

Interpretation: Man was afraid of snake, so he decided to kill it.

Result: The man killed the snake.

2) case: a hot cup of tea burnt a child's skin

Interpretation: Tea is hot, it can burn someone's skin.

Result: child's skin was burnt.

3) case: A careless student fails a exam.

Interpretation: Student was careless. Carelessness has caused the student to fail. Carelessness can cause failure.

Result: Student failed

4) statement: "Is atom divisible"

Interpretation: Atom is sub divided into sub atomic particles like electrons protons and neutrons. These can be separated in reactions like fission reaction.

Result: Atom is divisible.
