Measures of central tendency

Mode : Mode is used when variable is measured on nominal level. When it is asked to note most comman value/scores.

Median: When the data is ordinal then median is used. When it is asked to note central scores/values.

Mean: Variable is measured at interval-ratio scale. When it is asked to report average score/value.

For Variable Age : It is eported in years so appropriate measure of central tendency for Age is arithmetic mean.

Variable Happiness : Happiness is measured in three categories as happy, pretty happy and not to happy which is ordinal variable hence median is best measure of central tendency for ordinal data.

Varinable: Number of partners refers to sex partners over the past 5 years

So data is in interval ratio form so mean is better measure of central tendency.
