Question
The following table presents hypothetical disaggregation of responses to a marketing survey Respondent observed score True Score Error Ashley 120 1300 -10 Bob 145 1220 25 John 95 110 15 Carl 85 100 -115 Dianne 115 90 25 Denise 70 80 -10 Eric 100 1. Calculate the reliability based on the presented scores (5 points) 2. State the assumption you made for calculation in 1 (5 points) The table below presents responses to a business survey. Responses are collected on a 7-point Likert scale ranging from "1 completely disagree" to "7 completely agree". Client Item 1 Item 2 ltem3 Item 4 Item 5 Item 6 Item 7 ltrm 8 Item 9 ltem 10 1 2 3 1 1 1. Calculate the internal consistency of the 10 survey items (5 points) 2. In a short paragraph (no more than 100 words) explain your results for 1 (5 points)Explanation / Answer
There are 3 question in the given set, so i will be doing only the first 1
(1) Reliability based on presented score = ?
Reliability coefficient = true score Variance/ total variance of t = 1 - Variation of the error score/variation of the observed score
so variation of true score or vairnace = 420.23
Variance of true score = 420.23
Vairance of observed score = 611.9048
so reliability = 420.23/611.9048 = 0.6867
2. Number of assumptions
(a) true scores and errors are not correlated
(b) errors on different measures are not correlated
(c) mean error of measurement = 0 or negligble
(d) Errors are random and for number of events, it is normalised
