Question
I was told to use SPSS program for this assignment. Included are pictures of the output that the program gave me. I am having trouble understand this output to answer the following questions:
1) What is the correlation between the two data sets?
2) What is the b weight for variable b?
3) What is the derived regression equation?
4) What is the SEE of your equation?
5) Is your equation statistically significant? How do you know?
If you "right click --> open image in new tab" you can see a larger and more readable picture. Or if you press "Ctrl and Scroll up on your mouse you can also see a clearer picture.

All requested variables entered Model S a Predictors (Constant), b ANOVA a. Dependent variabl b. Predictone: (Constant), b Coefficients a Dependent VariExplanation / Answer
1. Correlation between two data sets is 0.94. Correlation beween two data sets is positive corraltaion of very high degree.
2. Weight of variable b is nothing but the regression coefficient for b. Here it is 1.006
3. The derived regression equation is
Y = 5.039 +1.006X
4. SEE, standard error of estimate is 5.27502
5. The fitted regression equation is statistically significant if corresponding F test results are significant.
Here for fitted regression equation the F-test statistic value is 30.458 (From ANOVA table ) and p-value is 0.005.
We reject the null hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance if p-value < 0.05
Here p-value is 0.005 < 0.05 hence we reject the null hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance and conclude that fitted regression equation is signficant.
