A student claims that he can corretly identify weather a person is a business major or an an engeering major by the way the person dresses. Suppouse in actuallity that he can correclty identify a business major 99% of the time. 94 % of the time he corretly identifies an ingeneereing student (by rejecting as a business major). Presented with one person and asked to identify the major of this person (who is either a business or engineering major ) , he considers this hypothesis test with the null hypothesis being that the person is a busines major and the alternative that the person is an ingeenering major. Type 2 error is the probability of fail to reject the false null hypothesis. That is person conclude that given person is a business major while actually it is an engeenering major. So The probability of type 2 (B) (greek letter) is equal to the probability he incorrectly identify an engeenering major as business major. So the probability of type 2 (B) (greek letter) is 1 - 0.94 = 0.06
