10 course points Your task: Find an article about the results of a survey in which a population proportion is estimated and the phrase "margin of error" (or "sampling error") is used in print. The article must also include a value for the sample size. Clip or print the article and attach it to a paper on which you complete the following: 1) Identify the source and date of your article 2) Describe the population being studied 3) List the sample size (also highlight this in the article) 4) List the margin of error that was quoted (also highlight this in the article) 5) List the value of a sample proportion that was quoted (also highlight). The article may mention several proportions. Just focus on one of these for this assignment. 6) Show the calculation of the margin of error in two ways: one based one the value ofthe sample proportion you listed in th4, and one using p-hat-.50. In both cases, use the traditional formula as shown on p.193 ofourtext. 7) Compare the margin of error given in the article to the values you found in #5 by hand- calculation. Each instance of failing to complete any of the above items will result in at least a one-point deduction per omission. Rules 1) Surveys other than political polls/Presidential approval ratings are preferable. Articles summarizing political poll results will be accepted, but you can receive a maximum of 3 points.
