(a) Total talktime used is 46 mts, out of which 20 mts were used earlier and 26 minutes were used for talking to Ann and the balance left in the card was $2.96. Hence the charges for these 26 mts of talk time, would be $4.00 - $ 2.96 = $1.04. Charges per minute can be calculated from here, that would be 1.04/ 26= 4 cents per minute

(b) After 20 minutes of talktime used, the balance left was $4.00. For 20 mts, the charges @4 cents per minute would be 80 cents. Thus the cost of the calling card would be $4.80

(c) If the remaining value of card is denoted by C, then the relationship model would be C= 4.80-.04t, where t is in minutes.

(d)The total number of minutes on the card can be found by dividing the cost of the calling card by call charges per minute, that is 4.80/0.04 = 120 minutes.
