Between 8 A.M. and 10 A.M. the rate of change of the rate of smartphones assembled is decreasing; between 10 A.M. and 12 noon, that rate is increasing. 0 Between 8 A.M. and 12 noon the rate of change of the rate of smartphones assembled is neither increasing nor decreasing. Between 8 A.M. and 12 noon the rate of change of the rate of smartphones assembled is increasing. (b) At what time is the rate at which the smartphones are being assembled by the average worker greatest? hr Talk to. Tutor Read it Need Help? Given y = N(t) as the number of smartphones assembled by a worker upto time t.
y'(t) will give thw rate of number of smartphones assembeled by an average worker.
y'(t) is the slope of a function at any point t.
We see that the rate of y is y' is increasing at t = 0 i.e. 8 A.M. and this rate starts to decreases after time 10 A.M upto 12 noon.
So, this answer is consistent with the (1) part of the first Part.
b)
The time at which the rate is maimum is t = 10 A.M. as the rate is increasing function upto then and after that it starts to decrease.
t = 2 hrs(10 A.M.)
