This increased budget is $ 29,120. How much was the budget in the past, before the increase? If necessary, round to the nearest dollar. Enter the answer without any commas. #29/Points possible: 1 . Total attempts: 3 One angle in a triangle has a measure that is three times as large as the smallest angle. The measure of the third angle is 50 degrees more than that of the smallest angle. Find the measure of the LARGEST angle. Answer: The LARGEST angle has a measure of degrees. #30points possible: 1 . Total attempts: 3 Sam is 46 years younger than Jasmine. 8 years ago, Jasmine's age was 3 times Sam's age. How old is Sam now? 4 b years old #31points possible: 1 . Total attempts: 3 Phyllis invested 43000 dollars, a portion earning a simple interest rate of 4 percent per year and the rest earning a rate of 7 percent per year. After one year the total interest earned on these investments was 2320 dollars. How much money did she invest at each rate?

Explanation / Answer

Let three angles are x,y,z.

Let x is the smallest angle,

Thus, y = 3x ------ (1)

Now the remaning 3rd angle is z which is 50 degree more than smallest angle.

Thus, z = 50 + x ----- (2)

In a triangle, x + y + z = 180

from equation 1 and 2

x + 3x + 50 + x = 180

5x = 130 =>> x = 26 degree

z = 50 + 26 = 76 degree

Thus largest angle is 76 degree.
