In 2010, a Quinnipiac University Poll and a CNN Poll each asked a nationwide sample about their views on openly gay men and women serving in the military Here are the two questions: Question A: Federal law currently prohibits openly gay men and women from serving in the military. Do you think this law should be repealed or not? Question B: Do you think people who are openly gay or homosexual should or should not be allowed to serve in the US. military? One of these questions had 78% responding "should", and the other question had only 57% responding "should" Which wording is slanted toward a more negative response on gays in the military? Why? ANSWER: Since question A has a greater percentage of responses for gay men than women in the military Than question 8 is slanted more toward a negative response on gays in the military. We don't know that which percentage is for which question. This is something you are asked to figure out for this question.

Explanation / Answer

Question A states that "federal law currently prohibits...". This might make people believe that this is how things are supposed to be since the law is existing. Here if someone want to speak for allowing homosexuals to join military, hehave to admit that he is against this law. So, this question is slanted toward a more negative response towards homosexuals in the military.
