a) The researchers used a convenience sampling, I know this because, the survey is conducted by another agency. They select the units (American Indians)(AIs) those are easily available. The random selection of units is not done in this survey. The population of AIs in the study area is 72296, out of which 513 AIs are selected by convenience sampling.

b) I will collect the data in different way to overcome the limitations of this study. I will be use random sampling technique to collect the data because the random sampling gives the sample which represent the entire population. The benefit of random sampling over convenience sampling is that, there is equal chance for any unit in the population to be selected in the sample. One of the limitation of random sampling is the selected sample unit may not be accessible due to some reason like geographical location, out of reach etc.
