Question
The table to the right shown the results of a survey in which 2564 adults from country A. 81.36 adults from country B, and 1094 adults from Country C were asked of human activity contributes to global warming. Complete parts (a), (b), and (c) (a) Construct a 99% confidence interval for the proportion of adults from Country A who say human activity contributes to global warming (b) Construct a 99% confidence interval for the proportion of adults of adults from Country B who say human activity contributes to global warming (c) Construct a 99% confidence interval for the proportion of adults from country C who 5.28 human adults contributes to global warmingExplanation / Answer
Here n1=2564,p1=0.65, n2=1136, p2=0.83 and n3=1094 with p3=0.97
z value is 2.58
a. SE=sqrt(P1*(1-p1)/n)=0.009
So E=z*SE=0.02
Hence CI=0.65+/-0.02=(0.63,0.67)
b. SE=0.01
E=0.0258
CI=0.83+/-0.0258=(0.804,0.856)
c. Se=0.005
E=0.013
CI=0.97+/-0.013=(0.957,0.983)
