Question
To compare the heights of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass singers, data has been collected from the NY Choral Society in 1979 (singers.txt). Determine whether these four groups have the same mean height. Use =0.05.
You can find the data in the link: http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/DASL/Datafiles/Singers.html
Any tips here? Not sure where to start. If it isn't too tedious, an answer would be appreciated. I listed the null and alternative hypothesis below.
H0 : There is no difference in the mean heights of the 4 groups
H1 : There is a statistical difference in the mean heights of atleast 2 groups.
Explanation / Answer
applying onbe factor ANOVA on above:
as P vlaue is significantly very low. We reject null hypothesis and conclude that at least 2 groups have statistical difference in the mean heights
