Question
Some of the students at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and Wizardry are using 3 new broomsticks which are much faster than existing brooms. To see if these new brooms are essentially equal in speed to each other, Professor Mad Eye Moody does in the Quidditch arena. The samples are independent and the distribution is assumed to be normal. At a 0.5 level of significance, may Professor Moody conclude the mean lag time of these 3 new broomsticks are equal? The times below are in minutes. (May J. K. Rowling forgive me!)Explanation / Answer
from above as P value is less then 0.05 level we can colclude that at least 2 of above group means are not equal and reject Prof. Moddy's claim
