Question
What do the correlations and scatterplots from question 1 tell us about the relationships between the pairs of variables? In your discussion, you should touch upon the following questions. Make sure you provide evidence and support your answers. Are there any outliers? What variables may provide significant information to predict power consumption? What variables may be redundant? In other words, what explanatory variables may contain the same information? Which variable do you feel would be the best predictor of power consumption?Explanation / Answer
2.
a. Outliers - no there don't seem so.
b. x1, x2 are powerful enought to predict. They got high correlation with y. Rest variable' correlation with y is weak
c. Due to above reasons, x3 and x4 are redudant. Look at thier correlations with y , they are small.
d. x1 should the best predictior for power consumption because it has got the highest correlation coefficient.
