and sumof square of error =SSE=2613.56

hence R2 =1-SSE/SST =0.8824

therefore 0.8824 proportion of observed variation in total service time can be explained by a linear probabilistic relationship between total service time and the number of machines serviced

b) Se=((SSE/(n-2))1/2 =13.663

c) degree of freedom =n-2=16-2=14
