1. how much public and private school teachers know about Selective Mutsim in children

a. can they identify the Selective Mutism child

b. If, so, what strategies they use to teach this population

2. Do teachers just out of school or studying for masters and doctorates have more knowledge than teachers with 10 or more years with a batchlor's degree but no update in educational knowledge

3. how much of an increase in ability to identify and develop strategies will ocurr if training on Selective Mutism is given

After setting up the data, what Spss test will give me the results I need.

Explanation / Answer

1)The identification of selective Mustim children will based on some data about the total children and among them suffering from selective Mustim.Here no such information is provided.In other words an additional information about the children data is required to answer.Suppose if the total children is given and the percentage of children with selective mutism is obtained then based on some hypothesis that ,let say if the percetage identification is greater than 40%,then they can be identified a z-test for proportion can be carried out at a given significance level.

2)For the second question,we have to make two groups of variable years of teaching-one group having teaching experience greater than 10 year and other less than 10 year.Now,consider the variable,"knowledgebase".As it is an ordinal variable ,a Mann-Whitney test can be performed between the two groups with respect to knowledgebase at the given significance level.

3))For the last question,a logistic regression can be developed with the dependent variable being knowledgebase(ordinal) and the independent variable being training.
