pmale = 0.24

pfemale = 0.62

Point estimate p = (nmale * pmale + nfemale * pfemale)/ (nmale + nfemale) = (200* 0.24 + 150 * 0.62)/ 350 = 0.4029

Standard error of sampling se0 = sqrt [p(1-p) * (1/nmale + 1/nfemale)]

= sqrt [ 0.4029 * 0.5971 * (1/200 + 1/150)] = 0.053

Test Statistic

t = (pfemale - pmale)/ se0 = (0.62 - 0.24)/ 0.053 = 7.17

so answer is between 7 and 8
