t stures fecevrt bwärds, what is the lowest score eligble for an award? W3 Project Assignment Project Week 3 Project Week 3 For these project assignments throughout the course you will need to reference the data in the ROt Excel spreasdheet. Download it here Using the RO1 data set ·tt we select 7calleges from a major and then recerd whether they are of Schod Type"matrarnet, ii this experor eemalear why arrty aat, 2. For each of the 2 majors determine the Annual % Ror appears to be normally dirtuted. Consider the shape of the histogram and Me mium ee- tendency (mean and median) to justify your results. Report on each of these with charts and caloulations to Justify your anpwers Criteria Assignments ·eExplanation / Answer
1.) It is a binomial experiment because it consits of a sum of 7 independent trails each having two possible outcomes private or public, also since the trails are identical and independent outcome of any one trail do not effect the probability of the other trail to be either private or public.
2.) We need to construct a histogram using ROI and their frequencies in excel using its graph function, also mean , median and mode need to be calculated using their respective formulae, since the pictures are not clear and data can not be put to excel I can not show you the exact calculations, but I will tell you in what basis the judgement of wether the data is normally distributed or not needs to be done.
For normal the histogram will be in a bell shape and the probablity will be very less at the ends, also the skewness will be zero the histogram should show no evidence of a positive or negitive skew.
For normal the mean, median and mode are also the same, so there should be no significant differences in them according to the sample data which you have,
If these features do not match the hypothesis that the ROI percentage data is normally distributed may not be true
Also, if you wish you my fit in a normal distribution in this data using the method of moments and check for the errors to be normally distribued or check their squares using chi square distribution and a appropriate significance level( this is not required as per the question)
