Explanation / Answer

(a) digits for success is 0 to 8 and 9 for failure

So total number of digits = 10

and success number of digits = 9

So, successful outcome is = 9/10 i.e 90%

(b) The outcome of 15 trials are listed below

Hence success probability is = 15/15 = 1

(c) It is irrespective of the digits assigned . It only depends upon the length of the assigned digits!

So here also length from 1 to 9 is 9 , hence it also simulate 90% successful outcomes!

repeating step b we get 15 outcomes

Hence success probability is = 14/15 = 0.93

NOte: Here excell tool "=RANDBETWEEN(0,9)" is used to simulate numbers!
