This is the right answer but the concepts can be expanded on a little more.
Motivation is considered to be u observable force which directs all the energies and sustains behaviour in the long run. Therefore, it is necessary to design the jobs around this aspect as a requirement. Job design is a concept through which a manager can essentially plan the job tasks and work arrangement to essentially create motivation and job satisfaction while successfully accomplishing the task.
The following concepts allow a manager to do that:-
1. Job simplification: which means standardizing the work procedures, simplifying the task and specializing the tasks to create a better environment to work.
2. Job rotation: which means increasing the tasks by periodically shifting workers between them. This breaks the monotony and allows a worker to feel satisfied.
3. Job enlargement: gradually increasing the breadth of the tasks by increasing the number of tasks that are performed by the workers.
4. Training: training the staff makes them feel good about their growth and increases motivation.
5. Job enrichment: which includes the gradual increase of tasks performed by the workers in order to build upon factors such as responsibility and achievement which provides a sense of motivation.
