Forecast for July using a 3 month simple moving average

= Demand for April + Demand for May + demand for June ) / 3

= ( 15 + 17 + 16 ) / 3

Ft = alpha x D t-1 + ( 1 – alpha) x Ft-1

Ft, Ft-1 = Forecast for period t and t-1 respectively
