What is the probability that you will lose this game? And your follow up at five consider which number in the ass ratio needs to change and how in order to increase the probability of winning

Explanation / Answer

Here odds of winning the game is 1:25

so number of outcome in favor of winning is n= 1 and

number of outcome in favor of loosing is m=25

Total outcomes are m+n= 25+1=26

So the probability that you will win this game is

P(winning) = n / (m+n) = 1/26

The probability that you will lose this game

P(loosing) = m / (m+n) = 25/26

Assuming total number of outcomes remain same, we have to increase n (number of outcomes in favor of winning) to  increase the probability of winning.
