Many models has been developed in order to capture the richness of the organizations effectiveness. The various models are goal approach model, system resources model,process model, multiple consistency model and competing value approach. This multiplicity an be elaborated by the nature of effectiveness construct, especially it has undetermined boundaries.

i believe, out of these five organization effectiveness model Competing value model is the most viable model for measuring the organization's effectiveness and also strongest in terms of enabling us to develop an in-depth understanding of a company's effectiveness. Especially to measure the effectiveness between for profit and non profit organization. This model is used widely in the range of organization research including industry culture, leadership style and effectiveness, organizational development,human resource development and also quality of life. Other field of research using this model includes organizational life cycle, employee involvement, the effectiveness of information systems, communication in the organization and also organizational transformations.
