WEEK 1-DQ# 1: English Common Law, sometimes called "unwritten law" is judge made law that reflects the customs and usages of the population. After the American Revolution the U.S. common law continued to be used extensively, however, the U.S. Constitution and State Constitutions mandated that laws be enacted by the Congress or State Legislatures. ich system of laws do you believe is better for the U.S. and why? Assume for the sake of this discussion that there is no requirement that all laws be enacted by the legislative branch of government Remember, your response to this DQ is due not later than Day 7 (Sunday). Professor LukevichExplanation / Answer
According to me law enacted by Congress or the state legislature. This is because English common law is unwritten and can be subjected to different interpretation but laws enacted by congress are written laws and hence follow only one interpretation. This will help in providing same justice irrespective of judges involved. This eliminates individual human judgement.
