Figures on lines refer to typical Secchi disk transparencies in meters. Orange light penetrates farthest in Eand O; green light in M and S; and blue light penetrates deepest in H. Adapted from Beeton, 1962.Explanation / Answer
Organic substances and suspended particles present in the lake absorb and scatter the light. So the leke E is likely to be most eutophic as it has very high absobtion rate of light. Moreover it is likely to be shallowest as concentration of suspended partices is more if depth is less and hence high absobtion rate. Lake S likely to be most oligotrophic as it has less absorbtion rate along with high secchi disk transparency.
