Conventional rule : The arrows of the gradient should go from lower values to higher values, i.e., form red to purple in this case.
(1) F. The arrows should go from corners to the mid of edges and center, so we narrow down to options E and F. Now, since there is a high but neutral point at center of 1, the answer would be F as in E the gradient is strong whereas in F it's more neutral.
(2) D. The arrows should go from mid points of edges to the corners and the center, so the answer is D.
(3) A. The arrows should go from mid of edges and center to the corners, so the answer should be A.
(4) E. The arrows should go from corners to the mid of edges, a little similar to part (1), but the gradient should be a little strong, so answer is E.
