1. What was the average daily census of adults and children for the year? (Round to a whole number.)

2. What was the average daily census of newborns for the year? (Round to a whole number.)

First we ned to define what the average daily census means.

Average daily census is the ratio of total number of total number of inpatient service days to the total number of days in that period. Since it is not leap year we can assume that there are 365 days in a year.

1. Now, we have 75860 adults and there are 365 days. So the average daily census of adults is

75860/365=207.835 this can be approximated to 208

For Children, the number of children is 7100 and the number of days is 365 , so the average daily census is

11800/365=32.32 this can be approximated to 32

2.For new borns the number is 7100 and days 365. Thus by definition the average daily cesus is 7100/365=19.45 which can be aproximated to 19
