This letter is a request to extend the timings for the hostels beyond 12 Midnight. As we are in a business school, the project works, library visits are group discussions happen/ strat post 9 PM after the lectures and course work is concluded for the day. This leaves only 3 hours for the additional work to be concluded, which restricts the student capabilities. In the recent past we had seen the impact of the same in the students from our university not being prepared enough for the industry and similar feedback from corporates.
The challenge is that the hostel entry timings are extremely controlled, and the same should be extended uptil 4AM. This will enable the students to perform activities and learnings in addition to the classroom, and have the access to the library.
