2. There are 2 branches of the same pizza parlor that deliver to my house, so the price and taste is the same regardless of where I order. I have recorded the length of time from hanging up the phone after placing an order to answering the front door when the delivery arrives for orders from both locations. The east location delivered 13 pizzas in an average of 27.4 minutes with a standard deviation of 1.7 minutes, and the west location delivered 12 pizzas in an average of 22.8 minutes with a standard deviation of 1.2 minutes. a. Can we assume the variation is the same for both locations? b. Does the west location deliver pizza faster than the east location?Explanation / Answer
a)
No we can not assume that variation is same for both locations because east location has standard deviation 1.7 minutes and west location has standard deviation 1.2 minutes i.e. variation of east location more than the west location.
b)
Yes, west location deliver pizza faster than the east location because east location delever pizzas on an average 27.4 minutes with standard deviation 1.7 minutes while west location delever pizzas on an average 22.8 minutes with standard deviation 1.2 minutes i.e. average time to delever pizzas for west location is smaaler as compair to east location also variation of east location more than the west location
