There are two categorical varaibles-political parties and type of affiliation. It is required to whether the distribution of choices is same among three different groups. Since, one assumes the null hypothesis to be distribution of afflitiation is same across three groups, one is supposed to perform Chi-sqaure homogeneity test. The word same stands for homogeneity.
