Question

A research team was interested in the relationship between national place of residence and access to high quality healthcare services. They devised a multi-item scale on which people rated their healthcare in terms of quality of service, access to good quality service, and affordability of those services. Their resulting interval scale ranged from 0 (poorest quality, least access, and least affordable) to 50 (highest quality, easiest access, and most affordable). They then administered the survey to a random sample of unionized employees and a random sample of non-union employees. Here are their results: 38, 41, 44, 29, 31, 27,40, 39, 29, 34, 38 31, 22,24, 19, 18, 8, 17, 15, 26, 26, 18 32, 34,40, 29, 28,45, 41, 35, 33, 41, 28 Enter the data above into a SPSS data file. Define your variables on the variable view screen Test the null hypothesis that there is no relationship between unionized status and healthcare experience in the population against the appropriate alternative at alpha.01 using the appropriate statistical procedure in SPSS
