a) The volume and height of these trees are linearly related with positive correlation where coefficient of correlation is closer to 0 than 1

b) The volume and diameter of these trees are also linearly related with positive correlation and the coefficient of correlation is closer to 1 since the points of scatterplot will come closer to the best fit line

c) We would prefer to use diameter measurement to predict the volume of timber in this tree since the coefficient of correlation is closer to 1 in diameter and it will give closer value of volume rather than height
