Are very preterm babies unusual? The probability of this event isI soit be unusual because the probability is | than 0.05. rests (Round to four decimal places as needed) ter ter 1 pter 1 Enter your answer in each of the answer boxesExplanation / Answer
a) =251, sd=12, X'>266 days we need to check the prob for that
z= (X'- )/(sd) = (266-251)/12 =1.25
and so the prob is P(Z>1.25) = 1-0.8943502 = 0.1056498
b) now for X'=236 and X'=257 we need to find z value
z=(236-251)/12 = -1.25 &
z=(257-251)/12 = 0.5
& so from the z table the area between -1.25 and 0.5 is 0.5858127
so the probability between 236 and 257 is 0.5858127
c) now for X' < 227 is
z=(227-251)/12 = -2
and so from the z table the probability is 0.02275013
d) now for X'<224
z=(224-251)/12 = -2.25
and so from the z table the probability is 0.01222447 So we can say that premature baby be unusual bcz the prob is less than 0.05
