Hence the difference must be greater than 0

so

H0 : difference is less than or equal to 0
H1 : difference is greater than 0

we calculate the z stat

as

Z = (x1bar-x2bar)/sqrt(s1^2/n1 + s2^2/n2)

= (6.82-6.25)/sqrt(0.58^2/16 + 0.7^2/10)
