Question

FruitStuff Corporation, which manufactures dried fruit snacks, is looking to find the best way to display and sell its product. There are three types of stores that sell the snacks: supermarkets, whole-foods stores, and convenience marts. There are two possible display methods within a store: in the check-out line (to encourage "impulse" buying) and in the snack section. For an experiment, FruitStuff chose, at random, 20 supermarkets, 20 whole-foods stores, and 20 convenience marts. FruitStuff asked half of the stores of each type to display the FruitStuff product in the check-out line and half to display the product in the snack section. After a week, FruitStuff recorded the sales (in dollars) of its product at each store. Then FruitStuff computed the mean sales amount for each of the six groups. These means are shown in the graph below. 154 Snack section 144 Check-out line 134 124 Supermarkets Whole-foods Convenience stores marts After checking that the assumptions for the test were satisfied, FruitStuff performed a two-way ANOVA test. (The dependent variable was weekly sales amount, and the factors were display method and type of store.) Their partially filled ANOVA table is shown below Complete the table, and then answer the questions after the table. Do not round any values in the table except the F statistic values, which you should round to at least three decimal places.
